January 2010 – Finalist, Best APLN Asia Partner
ConneXion World Cargo Hong Kong were declared as finalists in the category Best APLN Asia Partner, at the WCA Family Conference held in Bangkok recently. Manager Eugene Chiu said “We are proud and very excited and regard it as an honour and privilege to be one of the finalists in such a prestigious group and in fierce competition. Next year we aim not just to be finalists but to win. Thank you very much to all those who voted for us.”.
January 2010 – 25th Anniversary
Now in 2010, ConneXion will have been trading for a quarter of a century. We are delighted to be entering this landmark year and would like to thank all our customers, partners and suppliers for their continued support, whether this is for our HQ at London Heathrow or offices in Exeter, Manchester, Paris, Hong Kong or Halifax NS. Alongside the traditional partners we have been collaborating with since our inception, being part of the WCA Family, our worldwide coverage now spans a staggering 322 cities in over 129 countries.
December 2009 – Employee of the Year 2009
It was a pleasure to be able to present the 2009 Employee of the Year award to a 3 year serving member, Mr Gary Harrison, who has been working with the Transport and Warehouse team since 2006. Other final nominees were Keith Walford, Tom Dawson and, for a second time, Peter Fairbrother. All of which were praised for their diligence, care and the enthusiasm they bring to the workplace. Congratulations to Gary, who has chosen a rally driving experience as his prize.
November 2009 – Far East Import Improving
Stock replenishment has caused a sudden boom in Air and Ocean cargo movements from Hong Kong & China. Before and after Christmas, momentum has been continuing to build, encompassing the year-end seasonal upturn, which hopefully is another sign of global market recovery. Our Hong Kong Branch Manager, Eugene Chiu, currently celebrating the branch’s 3 year anniversary, is full of optimism for 2010, commenting “It seems now the market is showing real signs of recovery. As we move towards the Chinese New Year we are more excited than ever at the prospect of handling increasing amounts of product by all modes of transport to and from Hong Kong and China. We are ready!”.
Chinese New Year is celebrated from 13th February to 16th February 2010 – Year of the Tiger.
