December 2011 - Connexion World Cargo

alt Congratulations to Samara Millin, the overall ConneXion World Cargo, Employee of the Year for 2011. Samara became one of three finalists by virtue of winning the ‘Overseas Employee of the Year’ award. The other 2 finalists were Terry Odell (Heathrow Employee of the Year) and Matthew Downs (UK Branch Employee of the Year).

Other nominees for the 3 heat awards were Alex Bowler, Tom Dawson, Graham Bond, Keith Warriner, Eugene Chiu and Edmond Law. It was a close run thing at both heat and final.

Samara has been a valued member of the ConneXion team for over 7 years. She has been running our Halifax N.S. operation since August 2006, having previously worked at our Exeter office.

October 2011 – New CX Team Members

We are pleased to introduce our new Manchester Branch Manager, Anita Davies. Anita recently joined the ConneXion team and has a broad scope of experience throughout the freight industry. She will be a valuable asset to ConneXion World Cargo, with her strong logistics background and will be heading up the Manchester branch. Anita looks forward to working with you in the near future.

London Heathrow HQ Relocation

ConneXion World Cargo is proud to announce the relocation of our London Heathrow office.

This acquisition of 20,000 square ft to house our new London HQ is part of our expansion for 2012. We are pleased to advise our new facility boasts tailor designed interiors and high quality warehousing. Directly located near the M25 and is within minutes of the Heathrow perimeter.

January 2010 – 25th Anniversary

Now in 2010, ConneXion will have been trading for a quarter of a century. We are delighted to be entering this landmark year and would like to thank all our customers, partners and suppliers for their continued support, whether this is for our HQ at London Heathrow or offices in Exeter, Manchester, Paris, Hong Kong or Halifax NS. Alongside the traditional partners we have been collaborating with since our inception, being part of the WCA Family, our worldwide coverage now spans a staggering 322 cities in over 129 countries.

June 2011 – New ConneXion Fleet Launched

Alongside February’s launch of ConneXion World Cargo’s new look logo & icon, we are delighted to announce that we have invested in a brand new fleet of environmentally friendly vehicles. Some of which have already been rolled out across the UK over the past few months, with the remainder set to hit the road before the turn of the year

The introduction of our new fleet includes 7 enhanced vehicles, ranging from a transit van to an articulated lorry, all now proudly boasting the new ConneXion logo! Headed up by Andrew Spencer, our Transport Manager at London Heathrow, our entire trailer fleet benefit from state of the art tracking, linked directly to our transport department, ensuring we can always monitor our vehicles’ progress throughout the entirety, whilst offering an instant POD facility via email.

Increasing and modernising our fleet is a strong priority to both our clients and team & we expect all our customers to enjoy the benefits!

By the close of 2011 our complete trailer fleet will also be equipped with tail lifting facilities & all conforming to Euro IV standards they will be environmentally & eco – friendly.

Our dedicated team of uniformed drivers all of whom are long standing ConneXion employees will ensure your cargo is moved efficiently & carefully. Yet another branch of our committed customer service team to assist “you” on a daily basis.

February 2011 – New ConneXion Logo Launch

February 2011 is an exciting month for ConneXion World Cargo with the unveiling of ConneXion’s new company logo & icon.

On Monday the 7th of February Managing Director, Alan Spencer, proudly announced to all staff across the globe, that the company logo had been rebranded and redesigned along with the launch of the new ConneXion icon. After celebrating our 25th year of trading in June 2010, ConneXion has been revamped for the future. The new logo is an integral part of the Company's image and still incorporating the classic ConneXion colours, it has a fresh look for 2011.

ConneXion World Cargo’s new website was launched on the same day. The website incorporates many key features as before, provides full customer tools & information and is the base for our personalised client track and trace system –

The revamped website promises to keep customers informed on all international freight forwarding aspects and local ConneXion branch updates.
